1866-2016 = 150 YEARS
150 years ago a small group of Czech people started the Catholic Church in Reedsville. A small log church was built—where the school stands now, then a small brick church was built where the church stands now. This small church was taken down for the now 109 year old church that now stands. This is just a small bit of history of the landmark.
On Saturday, July 16 an OPEN HOUSE will be held at the church to mark the beginning. Events will start at 9:00 AM and continue to 2:30 PM.
A Brat/Burger Fry, a Bake Sale, music and tours of the building will be held. Delicious Kolaches will be available as well as other Czech bakery. Tours of the building will be available with many artifacts and displays. A special display of the layout of the Old Cemetery will be available with names and layout.
We invite everybody to the event to learn a bit of history of the historical building in Reedsville. We know there are many stories that could be told. Come share with us.
