Friends of the Branch River Watershed Summer Potluck
August 10, 2016
Venue: Manitowoc Lincoln Park Zoo
Hello from Friends of the Branch River Watershed! Our last event was held on June 4 at Dodge Preserve which is a breathtaking area of land, river, prairie, and forest. Thank you very much to Rollie Olm and Carol Dodge for allowing us to explore your amazing property! You missed out on a great day if you didn’t come and check it out! Lots of people enjoyed free Cravings cookies, Subway cookies and Sub sandwiches, learning about Nature while hiking with our Naturalist volunteer, wagon ride tour of the property, golf cart rides, crayfish catching and exploration in the river, scavenger hunt, learning about birds and a cool egg exhibit, and just enjoying the amazing Preserve! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us! We donated half of the donations back to the Preserve as a thank you gesture. Also- thank you to Waste Management for your sponsorship, Cravings restaurant for the great rate on our cookies, and Manitowoc Carpentry for making the great trail signs! Thanks also to everyone who volunteered to make this event possible!
Thank you to everyone who supported our latest fundraiser brat fry on July 1st at Rob’s! We really appreciate your support as we are volunteer-run and depend on any memberships, donations, sponsorships towards our group and events! THANK YOU TO THRIVENT ACTION TEAM FOR SPONSORING THIS BRAT FRY!
