The Reedsville Post has been in existence since 1921, and was named after Joseph Gosz, a local man, who was killed in France during WWI, The Gosz Legion Auxiliary was also organized in 1921. In 1946 the name of the
post was changed to Gosz/Novak after Charles Novak who was killed in an airplane crash in 1943.
