1st Annual Dodge Preserve Trail Run/Walk

October 1, 2016

Venue: Dodge Preserve
Hello from Friends of the Branch River Watershed! We had an incredibly fun day Wednesday, August 10th at Lincoln Park Zoo in Manitowoc. We rented out Cabin 2 to hold children’s activities, had past event pictures for people to peruse, and also a large spread of delicious food, drinks, and desserts! More importantly, we focused this day on family fun by holding a Zoo Tour at 11 am and also a program at 1:30 in the Education Center. Both activities were very much enjoyed by kids and adults alike. The mountain lion came and spied on a group of kids watching it through the “stump window” and we got to watch the bear get fed her lunch! Vicki Rathsack, Curator of Education at the Zoo, put on an excellent program with kids getting up close and personal with critters from spiders to the beautiful tortoise… who got to slowly meander around the room during the program!
Thank you to Thrivent Action Team for sponsoring our July 1 brat fry at Rob’s Market and also our incredibly fun Summer Picnic Potluck and Family Zoo Event! Thanks to all who joined us in supporting these events and also our newest Members of FOBR!
